As a University of Minnesota graduate I have a broad liberal arts education focused on design and communication. I possess skills that are transferable in a variety of situations. While I have learned the technical skills of design I have also discovered how to communicate, write, solve problems, adapt to new situations, analyze information, and interact with a wide variety of people. These skills are extremely important in the design field and entirely powerful when paired with technical skills. I am able to think critically and analytically about an assortment of subjects as well as deal with many different types of clients because of my strong communication and interpersonal skills. Technically I have been armed with a skill set to take on any kind of visual problem. I have the tools and experience to help add worth and importance to your organization. Like Paul Rand said, "Design is much more than a simple layout or edit. When done right it can illuminate, simplify, clarify, modify, dignify, dramatize, persuade, and perhaps even amuse."
